Zalando Blogger Award - Girls Dream became true!

Last week I went with my friends to Amsterdam to the Zalando Blogger Awards. 
Fleur, my housemate and friend got a chance to win one year free shopping on the Zalando website (Girls Dream became true), because she has a pretty famous blog http://www.girlyengeeky.nl/ in the Netherlands.
The event was hosted in the shopping street of Amsterdam, in a so called Pop-Up store. 
The atmosphere was nice and glamourous. After a few cocktails Fleur really won the price!!! She got the most Votes for her Blog. 
It was an amazing event and Fleur was the happiest person in the world. Cici (my other friend who accompanied Fleur) and me had a blast, it was the perfect mixture of good food, drinks, music and interesting people.


For Fleur it means a lot of good connections.- Networking is here the keyword. 
Aaaaaand--> one year gratis shopping! 

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis in Concert

After two precious days in Amsterdam, I am sitting in my room back in Maastricht and thinking of a great party. 

Macklemore made an amazing show during 1 1/2 hours in the Heinecken Music Hall with a lot of personal insights of his life. His girls are often about his life or political or social problems which he sees in society 

On the top, he is a very good entertainer!

I was not the person who went often to concerts, but this definitely has to change. You feel a lot more attached to the artist now. It's a cultural event where you meet new people from all over the world with the same interests. 

There is not much left to say just: "Well...this escalated quickly!"

The drink to drink!

Are you planning a girls night or pre-drinks at your place. 
Check out my favorite drink! 

100 ml prosecco  or 100 ml champagne
150 ml sparkling water
1 -2 teaspoon elderflower syrup
    mint leaf
2  limes, juice of
1  lime, sliced
ice cubes

Directions

1. Crush or muddle 4 mint leaves in a champagne or large wine glass.

2. Add a small amount of elderflower syrup (about 1-2 teaspoons or 5-10 ml). Be careful not to add too much, otherwise you will end up with an overly sweet aperit

3. Add the lime juice, champagne (100 ml= 3.38 fluid ounces) and mineral water (150 ml= 5 fluid ounces). Stir well with a cocktail spoon.

4. Add more mint leaves and lime slices, and ice as desired.

5 Serve with a straw.

Maastricht Syndrome

Is it worth posting? After last night for sure! 
I'm living in Maastricht for over a year now. Already in the very beginning I was confronted with the term 'Maastricht Syndrome' but never really asked what it was about. 
After a terrific party night I googled it: Thats what I found: 

The Maastricht Syndrome describes a lasting, location-dependent sexual low which is supposedly caused by external factors such as stress, work overload, lack of potential sex buddies or other turn-off forces linked to the environment. The Maastricht Syndrome is named after a town in Limburg in the Netherlands where it has been experienced by generations of students. Sexual frustration is generally associated with the Maastricht Syndrome. ( http://www.urbandictionary.com )

So watch out where you are going to study!:)

Once upon a time I was surfing through the internet. A facebook friend of mine posted that he was listening via 8tracks, some kind of internet radio.

Never heart of it! So let's give it a try. 

Do you need a playlist for a party or making out with someone special? Then you should definately check out!

For example you chose "study" it suggests you another section of words which are in any context realted to your "study mood" (e.g. calm, motivation...).
